Designed to travel footpaths and its low center of gravity is an advantage when traveling at really slow speeds.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6836343905945224980.post-1841699623232736502012-10-25T20:13:57.769-05:002012-10-25T20:13:57.769-05:00Very picturesque. I lived in NC for 2 years, a couple hours north in the northwestern corner of the state--just off the blue ridge parkway in Sparta. Awesome country. And great place to be alone, think and recharge.

Thanks for sharing with us Scott.

p.s. I still remember some of the funny bumper stickers I saw up there. One of them said, "The only thing worse than a Yankee is a flatlander."Urbivalist Danhttp://www.thedailyprep.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6836343905945224980.post-72273222065981887012012-04-14T09:03:06.488-05:002012-04-14T09:03:06.488-05:00Scott, now you have me jonesing for a ride up in t...Scott, now you have me jonesing for a ride up in the mountains. I really need to get a KLR. I love Kawasaki and it is the only thing I will ride. I have owned many motorcycles over the years but have never had a KLR. It looks like the perfect bike to get out of dodge on be it for a fun time or in bad times. The pic's are great and it looks like you had a great time too.BadVooDooDaddyhttp://www.prepplace.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6836343905945224980.post-27374655163735075852012-04-13T18:14:04.388-05:002012-04-13T18:14:04.388-05:00a truly fantastic bike. I definately am looking at "adventure" bikes and the KLR650 seems like the "870 Express" of motorcycles. simple, relatively cheap, dependable, and can get you anywhere you need to go.Dan Bornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06921254251153418247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6836343905945224980.post-51711171227623959952012-04-13T07:46:35.525-05:002012-04-13T07:46:35.525-05:00Very cool - what a great way to get way back there...Very cool - what a great way to get way back there.
